After a few weeks absence the link to the lingen.org website has been reestablished. Slight misunderstanding regarding current situation with Lingen Community Broadband.
Those of you who managed to get to the AGM, and there was a decent turnout this year, will have heard about the large amount of work that has been going on in the background to secure the future of Broadband in Lingen and surrounding area.
As things stand Herefordshire Council are in the very last stages of finalising the broadband plan for the whole county and an announcement is expected very soon.
The key point, and it is difficult to stress this enough, is that it is hugely important as a community to stick together in order to maintain some scale and relevence to any potential provider who should be able to supply not just broadband, but faster, simpler and more reliable* broadband.
As soon as anything concrete is known I will update this blog.
*LCB has infact been entirely reliable since Easter, however some user have experienced intermittant problems. See service page.
